The check engine light came on my Nissan Altima 2000. I took it to Autozone for the free diagnosis and they explained that it could be one of three problems:

 1) Open or short circuit condition.

 2) Throttle control motor relay circuit open.

 3) Failed relay.

What exactly does this mean? Is it an easy problem to fix?

 Thanks

A Throttle Control Motor?! Does your car have what is commonly referred to as a “Fly By Wire” throttle? Like this: [http://www.picoauto.com/applications/electronic-throttle-control.html](http://www.picoauto.com/applications/electronic-throttle-control.html) I don’t think so; but, bring the actual DTC code, ok?
