My 2000 Honda Accord V6 with 131,000 miles suddenly started accelerating randomly – once when I was slowing down at an intersection and once while parallel parking. Dealer’s service department could not replicate the problem. Is there an easy fix or should I replace this vehicle ASAP, given that it is scary to drive it.

Start by disconnecting the cruise control vacuum hose and electrical connector. A malfunctioning idle air control (iac) valve will, sometimes, cause this. Replace Honda dealer with qualified independent mechanic/shop.
