As it turns out the Tach on my 2000 Acura RL dows work but only after the car warms up. The dealer has no clue and says its electronic and that temp shouldn’t matter.

bad connection. Heat makes the metal expand, which makes it move, which might be bringing it back in contact to operate the tach.

Could be either the cam position/crank position sensor, or the actual gauges causing the issue.

If the engine runs fine without any CEL, I would suspect the gauges being the culprit.

BC.
