# 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe sounds like it's going to start...and then it doesn't

When I turn the ignition it sounds like it’s going to start and then dies. What can it be? TIA

The list is endless unless you give us a bit more info.

How many miles on it? Has the check engine light been on before failure to start? When you crank it does if fire a couple of times and die or just cough?

Have you tried ether yet?

If it starts with ether, there is possibly a fuel problem
