# 1999 Cadillac Deville glove compartment

the glove compartment in my !999 Cadillac devile will not open although the key turns to unlock. Is there a way to open without damage to the dash or removal of dash? This problem has just occured.

Do you keep a lot of stuff in there? A stray owner’s manual may be sticking up and interfering with the glove compt door. Try tapping vigorously beneath the door to shift things around a little, and possibly free up the mechanism.

If that doesn’t work, a locksmith will probably be your solution. I wouldn’t take it to a dealer for this.
