1997 blazer intake replacement please help

also, what should i seal with,? some ppl say rtv some say silicone?

If you’re talking about the end gaskets . . . meaning the area on the block between the two heads, then permatex ultra black will be just fine

Do not put any sealant on the gaskets themselves

I cannot tell you where the problem lies but the only thing I will add is that you should not run the engine with coolant diluted engine oil. That will wash out the crankshaft bearings, maybe the journals, along with cam lobes, lifters, and timing components.

Do the gaskets match up with the originals and the intake manifold components as to the ports and so on? Just wondering if by chance the wrong gasket set was provided for the year model of your vehicle.
