# 1996 mitsubishi Eclipse gsx struggling to turn over

Recently bought a car, the starter was bad, so i replaced that. It has a new battery and alternator is working fine, when you try to turn the car on, it struggles to turn over. Need any ideas

by “turn over” do you mean the starter cranks slowly, or do you mean the starter cranks fine but the engine doesn’t “catch”, ie, start on it’s own?

If it’s the starter cranking slowly, they this is an electrical problem. How do you know the battery and alternator are good? Did you check the battery connections for corrosion? both ends? Remove the connection and check the inside?
