My car is idling high while driving and when coming to a stop. I do not have a rpm meter so i don’t know what my rpms are reading. What could be the problem?

You could have sticky idle air control valve.

You could have a sticking throttle plate or throttle linkage.

You could have a vacuum leak just about anyplace in the vacuum system.

You could have an issue with MAF and or MAP sensors.

I’m sure there’s more and others will add.
