# 1995 Honda del Sol SRS light

The SRS light on my 1995 Honda stays on. In the past I have been able to reset it by following instructions on the web. This last time I was not successful, but maybe I was just in too much of a hurry. My mechanic recommends replacing the SRS unit for about $1000. Is that a reasonable solution?

If you want it fixed, a mechanic should fix it. If you think the price isn’t right then shop around.

Do you really want to spend $1000 on a 24 year old car? Does your mechanic really think he can buy parts for a 24 year old car?? He may be charging you $1000 to kill the light and then your airbags won’t work in an accident.
