# 1995 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 #- Quit, cranks, won't start

My truck just quit on the Hwy at 70 w/ the cruise on. Will crank but not start. Got it home, same deal. I can hear the fuel pump run w/ key on. Any idea? oil pressure was good and 3/4 tank of gas.

Check for spark when you crank it. If it has spark, spray a little starter fluid into the intake. Does it start and die? If so, you have a fuel supply problem.

If no spark, and I suspect that is the issue, could be a coil, could be an ignition control module.

Post back with the results of your tests and we’ll help further.

Ignition seems more reasonable to have quit so abruptly. no spark. Starter fluid no start. Timing light no light. Disconnected fuel supply and lots o gas getting to the TBI. Thanks for reply

It was the coil.
