My Suburban doesn’t want to stay running. It doesn’t die, I just have to keep pressing the gas in order to keep it going… what could be going wrong?

You should have asked a question about how often to change oil, surely I can"t be the only one that knows GM driveability. You could always tell him to change the cap, rotor, wires, plugs.Where is hellokit when he is needed?

OP just wait a few hours I will help you out, I want to see if anyone else knows this stuff, we lost our best guy a little while ago.

The problem might be with the Idle Air Control valve.

As the name implies, it controls the idle speed of the engine whenever the accelerator is released. One of the ways you know there’s a problem with the Idle Air Control circuit is if you have to tip into the throttle in order to keep the engine running smoothly or running at all.

MAP sensor or engine coolant temp sensor can also create these symptoms. It’s tough without knowing what data the computer is receiving.
