I haven’t owned this car in over 12 years, but the problem was so bizzare, I throw it out there for feedback.

Owned the car since new, driving it 186k miles,in 8 years. During that time, approximately 10 times, I would go to start the car, when it would kinda kick back, then crank like there is no compression (as if you pulled the spark plugs out). Would take 5-10 minutes of cranking, until it would start to get compression & finally fire. Valves were adj. to specs, & timing belt replaced as per schedule. Only thing I could possibly think is that for whatever reason, the valves stuck in the head, thus the loss of compression. But all 4 cylinders at the same time? Car was highway driven and the under cover area was really clean, no sludge. Again, it only happened to me around 10 times in the 8 years/185k I owned the car. Any thoughts?

 Thx,
