Our 1988 Honda Accord LXI won’t restart on a hot summer day after being run with the air conditioner on. The temperature gauge does not show overheating nor does the engine smell hot. During the winter the car restarts without a problem. Do you have any ideas of the source of the problem?

I’m taking that your engine cranks but does not start. If I had to guess it is your main relay. It’s a common problem with the older Hondas.
