End of tranny dipstick broke off in tube 3-4 inches (the segment with the markings) Can I just put a new one in? Will the piece drop through to the magnetized pan? or jam up the works?

It probably won’t be an issue even if it does end up in the pan. If you want to be sure, drop the trans pan, remove the piece and change the fluid and filter. Probably needs it anyway.
