1985 Nissan Pulsar NX

Sweet Duster, 73/74??
Would love to hear the specs on it…

Same here, I had a '72 through high school and college. I’m guessing a '73, without the big bumpers a '74 would have.

Gee?

I wonder why all these gas stations sell non-oxy gas?

Tester

In my area, it’s to serve the numerous boaters who don’t want phase separation.

I use Pure Gas app… https://www.pure-gas.org/

Also have it for Apple users…

The highest octane of non-oxy gas near me is only 90 octane, so I have to be careful running it as my engine is spec’d to run on 93 octane…
So I do end up running Exxon 93 or sometimes BP 93 octane (E10) more so than not, it doesn’t like cheap gas… lol
But it does run strong on E10 with little to no side effects… But over time it does Varnish…

Certainly not for a mid-80’s carb design (USA sold). Personally, if I lived in a strict emissions state (which I do), I’d avoid a car w/a mid-80’s carb . But pre-80’s cars using carbs worked ok, & quite reliably, so I’d consider one of those in good fettle for a used car. Or if I lived in a location where emissions testing is not required and was allowed to jimmy the set-up to make a mid-80’s carb reliable.

The finish on your older yellow Plymouth looks pristine. Is that original, or has it been de-blemished and repainted?

1973 Duster 340 automatic, 3.21 rear gear. I rebuilt the engine in 1997 and ported the cylinder heads. Front rubber bumper guards removed for a cleaner appearance. A friend repainted the car for me in 1992.
14X7" rear wheels from Coker Tire, now I wish I had replaced all four with 15 inch wheels.

I was 90% sure that you had repainted it before you confirmed it. My SIL bought a new Barracuda in 1972, and the paint looked like it had been applied with a broom. Perhaps it varied from one Mopar factory to another, but my impression is that their paint quality was not good in those days.

Thanks for the info and again VERY nice car… Dusters are one of my all time favorite cars, I drug a 73 out of a junk yard (didn’t care about the driveline) for $50 back in the late 90’s with the intent of turning it into a street strip car ( I had a big block K member out of a Dart if I wanted), it was the same Yellow color (but not as nice of course), 318 AT car with NO P/S or P/B, perfect for what I wanted it for, then a guy spotted it at my shop and offered me $800 (plus paid me to tow it to his garage, yes I had a tow truck) for it and I said well yeah!! lol… Thinking I would just buy another one for cheap later on, well you can guess how that turned out…
