I have replaced vapor canisters on OBDI vehicles that were saturated with fuel, but not OBDII vehicles.
OBDII vehicles have a fuel tank overfill control valve in the tank that closes the vent line to the canister when the fuel level nears the top of the tank. The overfill control valve contains a float that extends down from the top of the tank 3". This allows for plenty of expansion room should you refill, then park in the hot sun.
There are many complaints about the fuel range on the RX hybrids, owners claim they can only fill 12 to 13 gallons when the tank is empty. Some have stated they add a gallon or more after the pump handle clicks off by slowing the fill rate on the second attempt.
A tank of gasoline in my car will last 3 weeks in the city, there is no reason for me to add after the pump stops.
I always round up to the next dollar after the pump clicks off when getting gas, old habit from when paying cash and not wanting loose change back in the day, never hurt the evap system on any of my vehicles, but I never top off gas, just round upā¦And a little OCD thrown inā¦ lol
You must live close to work. A tank of gas lasts me 3-4 days.
Does that extra quart of gasoline really help? Are your runs so tightly planned that an extra 8 miles of range will make a difference?

Have been very worried that I would not quite make it to a hospital. Arrived below E !!
Then expected to be walking from the hospital to a gas station. Luckily drove it. (It took more than the manual said.)
I should carry two gallons so if the RX350 starts to run out, I can get to the next gas station.
Taking blood and platelets, stat, to a distant hospital, Range indicated enough fuel.
Then the blood bank called back saying the patient was going critical and orderedightsiren. (Higher speeds would ruin gas mileage and I would run out.)
Luckily a gastation athext exit.
While refueling I attached the light bar to its roof rack bolts while talking to state patrol dispatch clearing themergencyehicle to the hospital.
Gas station customers were watching wondering what was going on.
