My opinion is still the same; make sure the engine is worth saving before considering spendng any money.

Note the OP did state in their last post that broken radiator is mentioned along with shaking and overheating and they continued to drive the car for an additional 15 minutes after this problem started.

JMHO, but fuel pressure bleed-off may be the least of their worries. An engine that is about to glow red from overheating could also cook a fuel pressure regulator diaphragm, distort injector pintles, and so on. That could possibly be a cause of fuel pressure loss.

@Tester I’m not arguing with you, but . . .

I’ve replaced several defective fuel pressure regulators that didn’t cause a strong gasoline odor.

Some, but not all, did result in misfire or lean codes.

I’ve been doing this for awhile, too. And I’m not trying to tell you anything new.
