The interior hood latch release is not working in my 1998 Ford explorer. What is the easiest way for me to get the hood open so I can check on the cable that it connects to?
If you can locate a repair manual for your vehicle it will show an illustration of the latch and perhaps from that you MAY get to it via the front grille.
Sometimes a long screwdriver will reach to move the latch, but if you manage to get that far, push down on the hood at the same time to relieve the pressure on the latch.
