Deja vu all over again: Airless Tires From Hankook Look as Good as They Roll

Volvo should speak his mind. It was clever! No apology necessary.

The tire’s maximum inflation is 44 psi. Vehicle placard reads 35 psi front and rear tires.
(Presumably for occupant comfort and handling. I’d rather experience a stiffer ride and save gas and produce less emissions. I do not do anything which requires “handling”.

For years I ran tires at 44 psi and even measured after arriving at a hospital a long distance away.
Still 44 psi. (But this was 5 minutes after delivering the blood platelets.)

Kansas farmers who routinely travel in their Expeditions and Excursions at 100+ mph, (they have radar detectors) report no handling problems. Just much lower gas mileage.

If I inflate to 35 psi I bet the tire temperature and pressure goes up. But still under 44 psi Max.
