Mouse in washer fluid reservoir

How do I drain the washer fluid reservoir to remove a dead mouse?

I’ve had to remove the fluid reservoir to drain it. Ford usually has these held down with one or two fasteners. Unplug the washer pump electrical connection and hose, and it should come right out. Fishing out the dead mouse is the really fun part. Th reservoir is sealed all around, and the only access points is the filler hole and the much smaller pump connection. BTW, what happened to the cap?

I’d just take a shop vac and tape a smaller hose to the shop vac hose and suck the mouse onto the end of the hose and pull it out.

In what state is the mouse corpse? I think I might just replace the reservoir.

Just get a pair of tongs and pull it out. You think that is gross I missed a dead one in the gravel today and did not know it was under my foot till I heard a pop. Yukko!

For GM the easiest way is to pop the washer motor out, perhaps FORD is similar.Take care not to break off any nipples.
