I get the CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM warning on the dash display. Can this be triggered by cold weather?
Maybe, but I’d go to the dealer to get it checked. Maybe I’d drive it for a half hour on the freeway first.
Most likely not. Check the level of the inverter coolant under the hood first, if it is at the correct level you will have to take the car to a dealer. Depending on what state you are in the repair may still be under warranty. I am guessing on a battery but there are many thing its can be. Hybrid system warranty is 8yr/100k federal and 10yr/150k on the battery in California.
